After Sales & Warranty Policy

Effective : May 17, 2021

Last Updated: 25 August 2026

1. Purpose

Dronehub Ghana Limited is committed to supporting customers beyond the initial supply of products.

This After-Sales & Warranty Policy explains the general framework under which Dronehub provides technical support, product assessment, maintenance coordination, manufacturer warranty assistance, repair services and related after-sales support.

Product-specific warranty terms, manufacturer conditions, quotations, purchase orders and signed contracts may contain additional or different provisions. Where there is an inconsistency, the applicable written product, quotation or contractual terms will prevail.

2. After-Sales Support

Dronehub provides Ghana-based after-sales support through its technical support and maintenance facility in Adabraka, Accra.

The facility supports equipment receipt and inspection, basic troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, spare-parts handling, software and configuration support, warranty records, technical assessment and OEM escalation.

The workshop also provides secure storage, diagnostic and basic troubleshooting capability, battery-handling support, software setup and configuration assistance, warranty tracking, safety equipment and controlled equipment access.

3. Warranty Period

Warranty periods are product-specific.

The applicable warranty period will normally be stated in the product documentation, quotation, sales contract, manufacturer warranty, tender response, invoice or other applicable transaction document.

Dronehub does not represent that every drone, payload, accessory, battery, software product or service carries the same warranty period.

For example, where a specific contract expressly provides a twelve-month warranty from delivery, inspection and acceptance, that contractual warranty will apply to the relevant goods.

4. What Warranty Generally Covers

Subject to the relevant manufacturer and transaction terms, warranty support generally applies to verified defects in materials, workmanship or manufacturing that arise during normal and intended use.

Depending on the product and circumstances, support may include technical assessment, troubleshooting, repair coordination, replacement of a defective component, manufacturer escalation or replacement of the affected unit where approved.

Warranty claims remain subject to verification of the defect and the applicable OEM warranty process.

5. Warranty Exclusions

Unless expressly covered by the applicable manufacturer or written contract, warranty generally does not cover damage caused by crashes, impact, fire, operator error, negligence, misuse, unauthorised modification, unauthorised disassembly or repair, improper storage, unsafe transportation, water exposure contrary to product specifications, unsuitable weather conditions or operation outside manufacturer instructions.

Warranty may also be excluded where damage results from incorrect battery handling, incompatible accessories, unauthorised third-party components or software, electromagnetic interference, operation above permitted take-off weight, continued operation of visibly defective equipment, tampered serial numbers or identification labels, or normal wear and tear of consumables.

These exclusions reflect the warranty principles applied in Dronehub’s detailed warranty framework.

6. Batteries, Propellers and Consumables

Batteries, propellers, cables, memory cards, landing accessories and other consumable or wear items may have different warranty conditions from the aircraft or main equipment.

Normal deterioration arising from ordinary use is not considered a manufacturing defect unless expressly covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty.

7. Software and Digital Services

Software, cloud services, licences, subscriptions, firmware, third-party applications and digital platforms may be governed by separate licence, subscription or manufacturer terms.

Dronehub does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of third-party digital services unless specifically committed to under an applicable service agreement.

8. How to Request Support

Customers should contact Dronehub with the product name, serial number where applicable, purchase or supply information, description of the fault, relevant error messages and any available supporting photos or videos.

Initial troubleshooting may be conducted remotely.

If the matter cannot reasonably be resolved remotely, Dronehub may request that the aircraft, controller, battery, payload, accessory or other affected equipment be delivered to its technical facility for assessment.

9. Equipment Assessment

Once equipment is received, Dronehub will conduct an appropriate technical assessment and advise the customer of the findings and recommended next steps.

If the issue appears to fall within an applicable warranty, Dronehub may coordinate the warranty claim or OEM escalation.

If the issue is not covered by warranty, Dronehub may issue an assessment report and quotation covering required parts, labour, external technical services and logistics before proceeding. This is consistent with Dronehub’s existing service process.

10. Repairs Outside Warranty

Damage arising from accidents, misuse, crashes, unauthorised alterations, consumable replacement or expired warranty may be handled as a chargeable repair.

No chargeable repair will normally proceed without appropriate customer authorisation.

11. Manufacturer and OEM Escalation

Certain repairs, warranty replacements, component-level interventions or specialised technical procedures may need to be handled by the manufacturer or another authorised facility.

Dronehub may coordinate this process on behalf of the customer, subject to OEM procedures, lead times, warranty eligibility and parts availability.

12. Transportation and Logistics

Where equipment must be returned to Dronehub, the customer is responsible for appropriate packaging and safe transportation unless otherwise agreed.

Courier or transport charges associated with assessment, repair, manufacturer escalation or return may be chargeable to the customer unless the applicable warranty, quotation or written agreement provides otherwise.

Dronehub’s existing support process permits direct delivery or agreed courier/transport arrangements for equipment requiring assessment.

13. Data Before Service

Customers are responsible for backing up and removing sensitive or unnecessary data before submitting equipment for repair or assessment where technically possible.

Dronehub cannot guarantee preservation of imagery, flight logs, configuration files, datasets, recordings or other information stored on equipment undergoing repair, replacement, reset or manufacturer servicing.

14. Replacement Equipment

Provision of temporary or replacement equipment during repair is not automatic.

Any loan unit, temporary replacement or permanent replacement will be subject to availability, warranty approval and the applicable commercial or contractual arrangement.

15. Service Timelines

Assessment and repair times depend on the nature of the fault, parts availability, manufacturer response times, logistics, warranty approval and technical complexity.

Any timeframe communicated before completion of assessment should be treated as an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

16. Limitation

To the extent permitted by applicable law and contract, Dronehub will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from equipment downtime, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, business interruption or loss of data, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Statutory and Contractual Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Where a signed customer contract provides more favourable or specific terms, those contractual terms will govern that transaction.
